The Shindokan martial arts school provides certified expert instruction in the Japanese martial art of Aikido for adults and teens. Classes are taught by some of the most highly qualified instructors in North America.

What We Offer

Aikido Shindokan is a traditional Japanese martial arts school teaching Yoshinkan-style Aikido in Oakville, with easy access from Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga and Burlington. We provide world-class Japanese martial arts training for adults and teens. We are an affiliate dojo of Aikido Yoshinkai Canada under the direction of Takeshi Kimeda Sensei, the most senior Yoshinkan Aikido teacher in the world.

Aikido Shindokan‘s supportive and non-competitive environment can provide many benefits such as improved physical and mental fitness and increased focus and discipline. We emphasize a safe, friendly and non-competitive training environment that remains firmly rooted on the development of effective self-defence techniques.

Your First Class

When you visit the dojo (training space) for the first time, one of our senior instructors will welcome you and personally outline the class structure for you. You will usually spend your first class one-on-one with a senior instructor who will ease you into the routines involved in Aikido training.

We encourage you to come out and give Aikido a try. In fact, your first week is on us. Completely FREE!
